Default Graphs

By default ServersCheck creates a series of graphs for all checks and refreshes it every five minutes. The default graphs are:

  • Service Level: This graph shows the service level of the selected monitoring rule in %. It is calculated as follows #up checks / (# up + # down checks)
  • Availability: This graph shows when the check was available or not. The graph is plot as an area chart where the green area indicates up. When at a specific time there is no area then this indicates that the check failed (=DOWN status).

  • Value: This graph plots the values of the rule. When a unit is available for the specific check then the unit will be shown in the graph.

Each graph is created in four time ranges: current, daily, weekly and monthly. To view the graph click the graph icon in the main ServersCheck window and make sure you configure your browser to accept pop-ups (as the graphs will show in a pop-up window).

Graph Timing

Creating the graphs can be a resource intensive issue especially when running many checks. To solve this issue you can either select not to generate graphs for some checks or to decrease the refresh interval which is set by default to five minutes.

Select ADMIN in the top menu bar of ServersCheck and then click on the Main Page, Graphs & Scheduled Graphs Refresh Rate link.

In the settings window select the refresh timing you want. The time is set in seconds. After that click the Save Refresh Setting button to save your settings.
