Description

This check is an extension of the FTP check. It not only performs a login based upon the provided credentials but also verifies if a file can be found in the specified directory.

Beside general settings for each check, which are similar for all checks, there are following Check Specific Settings which also need to be setup. In the Check Specific Settings, there are following fields you need to supply with parameters:

  • Server - The IP address or DNS name of the FTP server.
  • Login name - The username for the server.
  • Password - The password for the username.
  • Remote Directory - The directory on the remote FTP server where file should be located.
  • File name - The file name which should be located in the remote directory.

Note that both remote directory and file name are case sensitive. The same applies to username and password.

Returned Results

This check returns one result: OK if the file can be found; otherwise a DOWN is returned

Graphs

When the graphing option is activated then ServersCheck will produce for this check two graphs: Service Level, Availability.
