Installation Requirements

ServersCheck includes a graphical installation that makes it easy to install. You may install the ServersCheck software on Microsoft® Windows® 2000, Windows XP Professional, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008 operating systems.
If you need to uninstall an older version of ServersCheck before installing a later version of SeversCheck, it is recommended that you reboot your computer before installing ServersCheck again.

ServersCheck Minimum System Requirements
* Intel Dual Core or higher recommended * 100 MB of disk space * BUSINESS edition: 512-1GB MB of RAM * PREMIUM edition: 2GB of RAM * Windows 7/XP - Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 (32 bit) * Browser: Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3.5+ (Recommended), Safari, Google Chrome * A TCP/IP protocol stack. * A GSM modem is recommended for SMS alerting * Voice modem and phone line is required for voice phone alerting
* Antivirus software may negatively impact the performance of the software.
Windows Software Requirements
* WMI -- ServersCheck needs WMI in order to run. This is installed by default on Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003. Windows NT requires Service Pack 6a in addition to WMI. * PORT 1272 -- ServersCheck operates by using port 1272. You must ensure that there is no proxy client, such as ISA, running that could prevent ServersCheck from starting its internal webserver. * SMS Alerting -- In order to receive alerts through SMS we recommend that you use a GSM modem or the subscription-based ClickATell service. * Voice Phone Alerting -- This feature requires a voice enabled modem (Unimodem) and the Text to Speech Engine from Microsoft.
Windows Operating System Requirements
Windows 7
- You need to have administration user rights with the Account you logged on.
Windows 2008 (32 bit)
- You need to have administration user rights with the Account you logged on.
Windows 2003 (32 bit)
- You need to have administration user rights with the Account you logged on.
Windows XP Professional
- You need to have administration user rights with the Account you logged on.
Windows 2000 (32 bit)
- You need to have administration user rights with the Account you logged on.
Windows Installation Instructions
Installation of ServersCheck requires that you have administrator privileges (as applicable) on the computer.
Installing ServersCheck on Windows
- Double click the installation file (setup.exe) to start the installation program.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to accept the terms of the license agreement before you can install.
- Three ServersCheck services will be created. You can start the software by launching the two services from the Services Management Console or through the ServersCheck Launcher application.
