Description

The LOTUS check verifies if a connection can be made to a Lotus Notes Server and if can be opened predefined Notes Database. The Notes client must be running with a valid user ID and password on the system. The add-on uses the user ID, or client ID/certificate, of the person using the Notes client. The database must be accessible for the user ID.

Note that computer with ServersCheck software must have installed Lotus Notes Client. ServersCheck service on that computer must be running on Account which isn't Local System Account.

Make sure that the nlsxbe.dll exists in the main Notes directory and that it is registered.

Beside general settings for each check, which are similar for all checks, there are following Check Specific Settings which also need to be setup. In the Check Specific Settings, there are following fields you need to supply with parameters:

  • Password - The password required to make a connection the Lotus Notes server.
  • Server Name - The name of the computer or its IP address on which the Lotus Notes Server resides.
  • Database Name - The name of the database in which to connect. Example: home.nsf
  • Public View Name - The view that will be opened. Note that it must be public view.
  • Set status to DOWN - When setup access time condition is met.

Returned Results

This check returns two results:

  1. Could a connection be made to the server;
  1. Could a predefined database be opened.


Graphs

When the graphing option is activated then ServersCheck will produce for this check two graphs: Service Level, Availability.
