SMS Communication

As of release 7.14 ServersCheck supports 2 way communication between a cell phone and the software over SMS communication (short text messages). Over SMS you can query the software by sending commands to it.

This feature requires a GSM modem connected to the ServersCheck Monitoring Software or Monitoring Appliance.

To communicate with the software you need to send a SMS (text message) to the GSM modem with a command as content. Supported commands are:

status this sends you the current general statistics: number of monitors that are OK, DOWN or in WARNING

show e returns the last 5 error messages generated

show d shows the name of the monitors that are currently down

show w shows the name of the monitors that are currently in a warning state

show t returns the readings of the temperature monitors that are defined
