Description

The temperature check allows you to monitor the environmental temperature returned by a ServersCheck temperature device (temperature or temperature/humidity sensor). For more information on the sensor devices click here.

The temperature sensor is by default connected to the serial port of the computer running the ServersCheck Monitoring Software. If you purchased the Networked package, please refer to the manual delivered with those packages to configure the device servers.

Definition

When adding a new rule, select the TEMPERATURE check to monitor the sensor.

In following screen you need to select the type of sensor and the temperature unit you want the sensor to return. After selecting the correct sensor, you will need to select how the sensor is connected. If you are networked, enter the IP address of the PC in the third field. If the USB or Serial connection is used, then enter the COM port used by the sensor.
